Sexually Transmitted Diseases Answer A17222
Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

Diseases that are known to be transmissible by kissing and through saliva, or by other direct or indirect oral contact, like sharing a glass or cigarette, are cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus (very common), Hepatitis B, and infectious mono nucleosis, which are all different forms of virus. HIV can also be transmitted if there are cuts or ulcers in the mouth.

You can test for the presence of this virus in your body. This test is available as at all centers where STD testing is done. Hope this helps. Take care!
