Sti's can cause infertility, if it gets into the womb they can cause scaring of the tubes and thus cause blockage so the sperm cannot reach the egg to fertilise it. depends which sti u had, but i think many of them can cause complications and having it untreated for a year just gave it more time to do damage. if you have been trying for a year i would sugest you go see ur GP.
