Q: Statutory Rape and Gender

Does gender matter in the criminal prosecution of adults who abuse children in this manner?

Are statutory rape laws wrong? Ie teens should be able to consent to sex?

Is it just as wrong for a 19 yr old man to have sex with a 13 year old girl as it is for a 19 year old woman to have sex withh a 13 year old boy?

If either 19 year odl made either 13 year old a parent, should the 19 year old get custody? Should they get child support? Should they get jail time? Was the 13 year old still a victim if he/she "consented"?

a 13 year old is a child whether they are female or male. they need to be protected not taken advantage of. you could easily persuade a child to think that they want sex because they are naive. just because they say yes doesnt mean they have any clue what they are getting themselves into.
