Q: Starting Yaz between periods

i recently started my birth control yaz.one of the reasons is because i have abnormal periods.i never know when im going to get it.in the directions it says that you should start the pill on the first day of your period.i havent had my period in about 2 months and wanted to start the pill already so i just did.even though im not on my period.will the pill still be affective..and if so.when?? please help.thanks!! (:

Yes, the pill will be effective. You should not have unprotected sex for 7 days after starting it. To be safe with a mid cycle start, use other forms of birth control for the first 14 days.
