Q: Starting Seasonale

Okay, so on Sunday Jan.4th I had some light pink spotting, then on Monday the 5th I had bright red blood, so does that mean that technically I started on Monday? I just got my 1st Rx for Seasonale today and I want to start taking it immediately. So, I'm thinking that if I started on the 5th then I would've started the pill on the 11th so I'm only 3 days late? Help!
