Q: Starting pill without period ?

I was on the pill for about 6months and had no problems with it. During December 2008 I forgot to take the pill for one week after my period. I haven't had my period since and it has been 4 months. I cannot be pregnant because I haven't had sex or sexual contact during that time. I want to go back on the pill because I was very irregular before I was on it.

I was wondering if I can start to take the pills even if I don't have my period, like will it begin the cycle again??

Please help me.
