hey!
You should ask to be on it but don't tell her you are, just tell her you want to be protected.

how old are you? I know that you can go to the health unit and they will give you a package.I have a few friends in the same boat as you.

There are a lot of things that birth control can help-- it regulates periods, helps with pms symptoms, it may even help with acne.
Just ask to use it for something like that. Otherwise Planned Parenthood can help you get it cheaper.

maddie is right...i told my mom I was sick of dealing w/irregular periods and I hadn't been to the gyno at that point so I told her when I went for the first time i was going to talk to the dr about the pill to make my period more regular...and it definitely helped..plus i no longer had to panic about getting pregnant...my mother isn't dumb though..i had been with my boyfriend at the time for about a year..so while I wasn't lying and I really DID need the pill to help my period I also needed it so I wouldn't get pregnant..and I'm almost positive that even though we've never discussed it, she probably knows my boyfriend and I are sexually active...mothers always know...but whats she going to do? deny me of it and have me wind up pregnant? not smart...just talk to your mom about it

I told my mom I wanted to regulate my periods and that I wanted a medication that would help my skin. Birth control does both. I got on the pill a good 8 months before I had any sex at all.
Good for you for being smart and protected
