I have been on the pill for over 12 years, and for the first time, I accidentally started my new pack a day early. I took the pills every day for the first week, and then decided to skip a day to get back onto the normal schedule, and now I am spotting. Is the spotting because of the skipped day, and should I have just continued to take my pill instead of skipping the day? I am not worried about getting pregnant, as we are planning to soon anyway.

i think you are ok to just skip it. since you said you are planning soon anyway, you dont have i think too many other concerns. the spotting probably was due to that missed pill. that would be a reasonable explaination
