I just started taking birth control for the first time. I'm taking Low-ogestrel. I took the first pill on the first day of my period, as directed by my doctor. That was on May 16th. I have been bleeding since then, this is the 11th day of bleeding. Normally my periods last 5-7 days. Should I be worried? Thank you.

You shouldn't be worried for now because such side effects are often in the first 2-3 months while body get use to the hormones from outside. But if bleeding becomes too heavy or prolonged you should consult your gynecologist.
Have you ever had prolonged period before this?
