Hi, I have recently visited my gynecologist on this past wednesday, and she gave me birth control. I could've possibly been pregnant from a broken condom, but she took a test (twice!) & said it was negative, luckily, because right now isn't the best time for children! But I had unprotected sex on the pill yesterday night, saturday. I was just wondering how effective is it, considering i haven't been on it for a while?

*I'm taking the 28 day birth control, my periods are always very irregular, some being @ 4 weeks 5 days - 6 weeks 5 days.

Another question is when should I have my period? because my obgyn told me to just start them the night of the appointment when she found out I wasn't pregnant, since i have irregular periods.
