Do you feel like something is putting pressure on you and you are unable to move and do something?
Do the pressure thing happens only before falling asleep or after you have woke up in a middle of the night?
Are you a panic sufferer?

sleep apnea
thanks for your reply.I can move perfectly normally wen i get this.I only get this feeling when drifting off to sleep and i usually stay asleep then.Since posting the last time i have had this feeling several more times.do you think i should go to the doctor about this or do you think im worrying over nothing?I don't usually get panicked easily.Only if im going for an appointment or something. If this helps in any way i have been unable to walk for nearly 2 years now and am peranently in a wheelchair.Doctors are still trying to figure out why.Again, thanks for any replies for this posting.

Sorry for deleyed post!
This isn't a case of sleep apnea.
Sleep apnea sufferers aren't aware about their arousals during sleep.
They are informed about that by their bed partners (although, sleep apnea contributes to experiencing panic attacks during night sleep).
Your episodes of symptoms before falling asleep and when waking up during sleep are suggestive for panic attacks.

You are welcome!
Did your muscle weakness and paralysis start from your legs and spread to your upper extremities?
Do you have breathing difficulties, too?
Was this paralysis preceded with some common infection?
