I went to the doctor and he said he suspects I have staph on my neck, put me on 1 week Doxycycline 2xday. That week went by and no improvement, in fact it was now more on my scalp than before. Went back to same doctor and he put me on 2 weeks Doxycycline 2xday and bacitracin cream.

About a week in on the second trial, I woke up with the worst headache ever ( I don't have headache problems normally), and waited a day to see if it would subside. The next day was worse, to the point of not being able to lift my head. Went to ER and they ran CT scan of head (normal) and blood test (I would assume normal) and doctor came to conclusion that it started as shingles, from itching, it then turned to staph as well. Continued antibiotics and sent me home with oxycodone.

2 days after, I developed a bad rash and difficulty breathing. Went to ER and Nurse said it was a allergic reaction to Antibiotics, but to continue them as long as I take benedryl. So I did, until 2 days before I was done (I couldn't take the breathing thing, it actually hurt).

Saw my doctor after I thought the staph was getting better, he diagnosed me with Postherpatic Neuralgia, and put me on Neurontin. It seems to help bring the pain down, which is nice. But now the staph is coming back on the same spot, I'm putting the bacitracing cream on it. But I'm worried.

I'm allergic to Quinalones, Septras, Amoxicillins, Cephalosporins and now Doxycycline...
Ever since the headache, I'm not feeling alright, still getting rash, my arms are swollen (elbow down), and now have little pin prick looking marks showing up everyday on all different parts of my body...

Any advice on what to do, or what it may be would help!

Thank you!

As I understand your doctor thinks that the initial shingles lesions where complicated with staph infection.
Has he confirmed this by performing tests or swabs taken from the suspected part of the body (skin lesions)?
Where you feeling very tired and feverish along with the headache?

Severe headache is a serious side effect of Doxycycline.
Skin rash, feeling tired and other signs and symptoms are side effects of using this antibiotic.
