I have a stabbing pain in my left eye in the inner corner. The pain feels like a needle stabbing my inner eye area. The pain only lasts a few seconds but is very intense and makes my eye water from the pain. This happens several times a week and has been ongoing for about 6 months. Any ideas what this may be? I have seen an optometrist and he is treating it as if it were 'dry eye'.
