I know that sore/enlarged breasts are a common symptom of early pregnancy but my breasts are not sore nor are they larger. However, just my nipples are seriously killing me. I don't even want to put a bra or shirt on in the mornings, even though I have to to go to work, because they hurt so much. The pain is ordinarily a stabbing pain as though a pin is being stabbed into the center of my nipple over and over again for much of the day and it hurts worst whenever I accidentally brush up against something or move in a way for my bra to rub against my nipples.

I'm still a week away from my period (if it comes at all - I have extremely irregular periods and it's not uncommon for me to skip several months in a row and then have a massive, super period for a week or two at a time) so it's a bit early to try to test.

Other than that, I occasionally experience moments of nausea which are disquieting but I have not thrown up, my lowerback has been hurting for about a week and a half (at first I thought it was because I had been playing with the new puppy but it still hurts), and I haven't been sleeping too well so I constantly feel tired.

Could there be another reason for shooting pain equally in both nipples? Is it time to go to the doctor or should I wait to test again in a week?

Thanks!

Iwould say go to the Doctors and get a bloodtest that will look for Hcg it your blood and also tell him about your irregular periods maby they can help with that to. i am not sure if shooting pain in your nipples is normal but i am pregnant and i sometimes dont want to put a bra or top on because it hurt my nipples so that part tell me u might be. But you relley need to go to the doctors and get checked out. keep us updated please.
