Q: 1st Period postpartum

i had my daughter 7.5 weeks ago. i had retained plecenta and had to have a curret and blood transfusion. i bleed for 6 weeks afterwards, then had 3 days of no bleeding, but still a little bit of brown every now and again, then started bleeding again (my 1st period i guess). i have now had this 1st period for 10 days and last night it started to get heavier. Should i be concerned? is this normal?

Update
thought that i would update this. I went to the doctors on wednesday and he sent me off to hospital to have an ultrasound. they couldn't find anymore retained product inside, so they have put me on medication to try and help me clot. the bleeding has slowed down, but after 3 days am still bleeding. was told to go back to the doctors if i'm still bleeding after a week. so will see how i go.
