All day to day a local radios station was having a radiothon to raise money for the St Judes Children hospital. I listened to it on my way to and from school (an hour drive). It was SO sad, they would have parents on their talking during songs and things about what they went through when their children were in there. Some of them were telling how their children were in remissions, others how their children passed away. I was seriously like crying on the way home listening to this. On one of them the lady was saying how her son told her he saw three angels and she asked him to describe them and he said they all looked like her. I thought that was sweet.. I wish I would have had money to call in and help them out. I think its such a great thing to donate to..

When I was in middle school we used to have these mathathons where someone would pledge a certain amount for how ever many math problems you got right.

our local country station has like a 2 or 3 day radiothon for st judes every year.....the radio station back home has a week long radiothon for the local cap fund (child abuse prevention) and they had stories of local cases of child abuse....then every night that entire week they would have a free concert and at the end of the week they had a hege concert at miller stadium

Thats neat! I think this one was actually a couple days long to..I only listen to it when I go to school (every other day) so I may have missed some. Thats cool about the concerts!! The radio announcer on this station was going to shave his head if they meet the goal, I never heard for sure if they did or not tho..
