Q: St. Johns Wort contraindications

Hi everyone,

I have bad anxiety and I am sure that raises my BP as well! I take Lisinopril and was wondering if it is safe to take products such as St Johns Wort and Valerian to fight the anxiety?

I also take Imitrex for migraines but I am worried about mixing up too many medications.

Any advice and replies appreciated Smile

St. John's Wort should only be taken under a physician's supervision b/c it may clash or be contraindicated with other medications or foods. I'd suggest that you consult your primary care physician about the multiple medications. Alternately, you can check to see if your medications interact with one another on drugs.com:
