I was looking for some information regarding treatment of this cancer. My mom went to her ear nose and throat doctor to check this growth instead of her dermatologist because he couldn't get her in sooner. What type of doctor should perform removal of this type of cancer what is the best type of surgery? and are there more people prone to this type of cancer. by this i mean is it because their immune system is suppressed they are at a higher risk for this. she doesn't go out in the sun much but she does have fairer skin. Thanks

Since the cancer growth is on her face I would have cosmetic surgery done..A dermatologist will take the place out but do not have the skills to lessen the scarring..Some of these places can be very deep and long..Hopefully hers is not..

Skin cancer is from the sun..The only way is to protect the skin..After this she will need to protect herself with sun screen even more..Wearing a hat to block sun from face is a good idea as well..kd

the sun does cause this but it is now understudy that it is because we don't get the full spectrum of the suns rays. apparently uva (eg some solar beds & sun through glass, glass blocks uvb) is the spectrum that causes the damage to our skin but when recieving uvb & the full aray of the suns effect we are protected. this means that within poluted cities & atmospheres we are supposedly more subject to skin cancers etc as the polution blocks the uvb from reaching us.
One way we can help protect & even cure from cancer situations is via alkalizing ourselves this can be done through diet & is used in alternative treatments for cancer with a reported high rate or success.
You are right about a deficiency within our immune system, it is our deficient immune system or acid state in our bodies that causes all illness not so much as the bacteria or dirt that we are subjected to. the manipulation of our natural foods over the years has been bought about by greed & the love of money, this manipulation has caused the food to become deficient of different nutrients or changed the nutrient to a less absorbable structure which then renders us deficient through not being able to absorb as much as would be originally absorbed. I am willing to share what i have learned with anyone who is willing to learn these things.

Is an ear nose and throat doctor qualified to take the growth off her nose? or should she see her dermatologist now that she has a diagnosis.

i have sat thinking about this question for some time & i don't know if i am qualified to be able to answer this question, my reasoning is this, ent would know the structure of the area affected, what glands & possibly what nerves are involved. I imagine a dermatologist would be less of a specialist, but optimally it would depend on the individuals involved a cosmetic surgeon would probably be a good choice also but what about gaining some guidance from your Mom's General Practitioner, wouldn't they have more knowlege about the individuals you are concidering as to which might be most suitable. ultimately you need to ask a whole lot of questions & make a more informed decision.
hope this can help somehow.
