Hi
Can anyone suggest if polyps like 'squamous papilloma' could be cancerous? I had a minor surgery for the removal of a polyp from rectum. The biopsy report came out as a POLYP that is LIKE SQUAMOUS PAPILLOMA. Please suggest if that is something dangerous? I am so worried...

Papilloma, means a benign overgrowth of normal skin or mucosa.
Squamous means that is originating from the most superficial layer of the epithelium (epithelium is the upper part of skin and mucosa).
This lesion can be caused by human papiloma virus, and can have premalignant character.
