Anyone ever use SPRINTEC (not
tri-sprintec) before and have any
experiences worth sharing? This is my 1st
time ever using anything more than a
condom/pullout method. rarely did i use
condom and i've been with my mate 6 years
and no pregnancy so far. but we wanna try
BC so he can stop pulling out for once,
lol. but i don't like being on any meds
really. so to help determine if ive made
an OK choice on this BC thing. lemme know
what you been thru... ($9 @ wal-mart...
took pill #1 today).
oh and whats the vibe with clearing up
acne.. anybody's gotten worse after
taking? i have acne, not too bad, but i
figured it would clear by this age. all my
brothers skin is fine once they got to age
24. hoping this might put an end to the
bad skin.
Thanks!
PS - oh and i do smoke black and milds
(the lil cigar things with tips), maybe 1
to 1.5 a day.... don't do cigarettes, so
its hard to translate the "not having more
than 15 cigarettes a day" to a single
black and mild. and have been smoking them
about 6 years. i am 24 years old.

Well first of all, I haven't been on
sprintec, however I can tell you what I
know based on the pills in general.
Overall, most women have a happy
experience on pills. However, every pills
affects each woman differently. As far as
acne, some women have reported acne
worsening, some have reported it getting
better, some have said there was no
change. I'm personally in the no change
camp. Other side effects you might
experience are bloating, weight gain,
spotting, moodiness, etc. (things related
to pms), however, this usually goes away
fairly quickly.
As for the smoking- does your prescribing
doc know about that? Smoking while taking
estrogen based contraception increases
your risk of blood clots and stroke.
Though it's still not likely, the risk is
there, and something you should be aware
of.
Since each woman has slightly different
biochemistry, it's just a matter of
finding the pill that works best for you.
