spotty period while on Yaz

i have been on YAZ birth control for around 2 1/2 years now. this has helped regulate my periods and i know when to expect them, within a day or so. i know one of the side effects of being on the pill are lighter, shorter periods, but my period seemed lighter than expected this time around. i had the cramps that i always get and was just expecting more. it wasn't a spotty period without blood, though. i used pads just in case my "flow" increased, but it was a pretty steady, spotty pad after pad.

i guess my question is, is this normal? i'm worried about being pregnant i suppose, but in addition to being on the pill my boyfriend and i use condoms 99% of the time and the pull-out method (i know, not the safest) the rest of the time with the pill

i haven't had time or means of transportation to get a test yet, so i'm just looking for some peace of mind from others in the mean time.
