Hey,

I have been on the pill for about 1.5 years and so far no issues with it. Well my last period only lasted 1-2 days, and I had no cramps at all and I didnt even need a tampon? Normally i have mine for 4-5 days and I do still have some cramps and at least one heavy day and I use tampons. Well now 2 weeks later I am getting a lot of cervical mucus I think its called and its streaked with light blood. After sex theres a lot more blood. I go for my physcial in about a month so I will ask then. But is this common? Its not like I'm new at this and these are new side effects? i'm on tricyclen and sometimes i am a few hours late taking it, but i have not missed days and being a hour or two late in the past never made me spot? I dont know any ideas?

No, this isn't normal.

I mean, your hormone levels aren't going to be the same your entire life. So when your body changes for whatever reason, you'll probably get some spotting even if you are on the pill. But the blood in your discharge and after sex is not normal.

What do you mean "after sex theres a lot more blood"? Is there always blood? Does it hurt?

I experienced it too..
i also experienced having a cervical mucus with blood just before i have my menstruation. when i got my menstruation, it's so unusual coz it's so light... and i'm thinking it's just triggered coz of having an intercourse. while having this light period i feel back and breast pains. If you know what this means? let me know...
