Q: Spotting while on nuvaring

Ive been on nuvaring for 3 weeks time and I just took it out yesterday.
for the past 2 weeks, I have been experiencing spotting almost everyday. It is pretty light (sometimes I do have to use tampon though) also it is in brown colour, sometimes its in kinda a jelly form too.

Is this normal for my first cycle on nuvaring? What if it doesn't stop?

Also it has been 2 days since I took off my nuvaring, when should I been expecting my period? What if it still doesn't come after a few days.

btw, I'm certain that I am not pregnant because after my last period my boyfriend has been away so I have not had any sexual intercourse.
