Q: Spotting

I am on my second week of pills and am spotting. I know that the website says that spotting is possible and that for most women it stops after approx. three months; however, any first hand experience? I started on the pill to regulate cylces and make them lighter/shorter. This is the third birth control that I am trying and am starting to feel more than frustrated. Thanks for your time and response.

I spotted when I first went on birth control. Are you on a low dose pill? For some women, it is more likely that they spot on a lower dose pill (especially if they were on a higher dose pill in previous months). It usually does go away in a few months. Are you giving each brand a few months to regulate? I hope that things work out for you!

Thank you for your reply. I tried the NuvaRing. Did not like it. Then I tried reclipsen. Had spotting. Now I'm on the ortho tri lo - 28 pills. The first week was good but starting on day eight I began spotting. I am now on day eleven and the spotting continues. I guess I don't have much choice but to hold out for a couple on months but this is a little disappointing. Thanks again for your help.
