Hello, I am 20years old female. For the past 2 years i've had spotting right after my period finishes. I've had a transvaginal ultrasound recently, and everything was normal, and a pap test which was negative. Could this be due to hormonal imbalance?

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum and thanks for writing us

Spotting after the periods and during the ovulation time is normal as it signifies old menstrual blood being shed from the body.It is nothing to be worried of.Other than that it can be due to hormonal imbalance, underlying pathology as endometritis, fibroid etc.
Since the imaging investigations have been normal and also Pap smear test being negative it does not seem to be anything serious. You can wait for few months and observe for any changes. If you develop any unusual symptom then consider visiting a Gynaecologist for evaluation.
Take care!
