Finally after taking the blood test at the Doctor's office I find out I am indeed pregnant. (Long story) Anyway I've been spotting now for five days! This is still very early in the pregnancy, i don't know for sure how far along I am since I am 11 weeks postpartum with my second child and never got my period since his birth. I haven't spotted any blood since 6 weeks postpartum and this is making us a little nervous...the blood is dark brown and watery pink off and on, some dark red blood too...I am also nauseated.. morning sickness all day! I'm just wondering if this could be normal or if something is probably wrong?

woah, that's basically what's happening with me too. I went to the ER because I thought I was having a miscarriage, which still might be the case, but I have an ultrasound on Thursday to confirm. I never had a period after my 6 week postpartum either and just found out I was 5 weeks pregnant. I bled heavily for a week and now it's finally stopped. I'm almost certain I miscarried, but I'm not totally ruling on that, since the doc isn't totally sure.

I hope everything works out for you. I'll let you know what happens with me.

Amanda, if the bleeding becomes heavy I would go straight to the hospital. Since you don't know how pregnant you are, a misscarriage at 11 weeks can be painful and dangerous. Good luck; I wish you the best!

Chrissy, I wish you the best too. Update us once you know what happens.

just got back from doctors
They did an exam and says everything is looking perfect, it was probubly implantation bleeding. But they took some more blood to see if my HCG levels are progressing correctly and then I'll get an ultra sound. I hope everything is okay Chrissy!!

What great news Amanda! I hope the levels are rising properly. When will you hear the results? How exciting!

some good news
Well the doc says it is very early yet, don't know what these numbers mean but the doctors want to retest monday to see if they continue going up. First one on thursday was hcg55 and then yesterday (monday) hcg 250something. They said that is looking good but it's too early to do ultrasound and it is very early in my pregnancy. I feel like they think I'm not pregnant (I sure feel pregnant!)..It's my third pregnancy...never miscarried and both pregnancies went full term... but I'm still worried. Plus my spotting stopped three days ago.

Hi Amanda and chrissy
When i had my son i had my period exactly 6 weeks to the day i had him my sister inlaw did too so i would say your 5 weeks going by my dates.(I know we are all diffrent but my sister in law was just like me) And all womans hcg levels are practicly the same when pregnant so it is likely good luck i hope your both fine

My LO is 8 weeks old and I stopped bleeding about 4 weeks PP. I spotted for about 2 days last week. I'm EBF, but I've been wondering if it's possible that I'm pregnant again. My husband and I haven't been using contraceptives since I'm EBF, but I've been extra emotional lately, I know that's normal after giving birth, but I'm wondering if this is all normal PP or if there's a chance. Someone let me know please!
