Q: Spotting on Yasmin

I've been on Yasmin for 1 year 8 months and for the last 4 months I've been noticing spotting. It's been getting gradually heavier while my period has gotten lighter. I take the pill at exactly the same time every day and I take the placebo's every month (no skipping periods).

The leaflet said to go to my doctor because the spotting was continuing and the doc has suggested I try a heavier pill which I'm not wanting to do because I don't want to have to go through adjustment side effects.

What I'd like to know is if I stay on Yasmin will this spotting go away in time? Do I just have to wait it out? Will skipping a period by starting the next pack right away trick the cycle into sorting itself out?

Two days till decision time...

Thank you for your time,
Ferrey

I don't know, these are really questions you should ask your doctor.
