I am so confused and I was wondering if what I am going through is normal or if someone has gone through something similar. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about a year and a half now. We started going to a fertility doctor last year. Apparently, the dr thought there was something wrong with my tubes like they were damaged or blocked so they set up a surgery date for a laparoscopy I know I spelt it wrong. Where they go in through the belly button and do the surgery. Well It was scheduled for November but they do routine pregnancy tests before the surgery. The day before the surgery they took a blood test and it was positive HCG but it was 11. I told the nurse that it was impossible because I was bleeding bad and she said it was normal for pregnancies. Two days later I go back for blood and the nurse calls back and says it was a negative pregnancy test so we can schedule surgery. I was really pissed off because I had no idea what just happened. One day I am pregnant and the next it was a mistake?? Well anyway, December came around and my husband and I did a fertility treatment. My period never came that month and it was the month of my surgery. They did the HCG test at the hospital before the surgery and I kept telling them my period was late and we did a treatment. They didn't get the blood work back in time for the surgery so the nurse gave me the anesthesia without checking the pregnancy test, but I figured my period was always late and apparently there was a tube blockage problem so I couldn't possibly be pregnant. Well I go back for surgery, no more than 6 minutes later the doctor is out in the waiting room looking for my husband. My husband was really nervous because a 6 minute surgery he was confused. The dr said there was absolutely nothing wrong and my tubes were fine. This is where all the trouble starts. I had light spotting for 24 hours which the nurse said is normal...after that I didn't get a period in January and took a hpt and it was negative. Then in February my period was late and I took a hpt on Valentine's day and it was negative. On the 16th I started getting light spotting. It was pink to light pink to sort of bright red, but just spotting. I continued to spot every single day until the first week of march where it was a little heavier but not like a period it was still light. It was weird because it looked like blood mixed with clear lining or something it was sticky and stretchy, but thin. Anyway I keep continuing to spot on and off lightly. Sometimes it is only when I wipe. I don't see anything in the toilet. I have been doing this "spotting" for 43 days now, straight! My friend suggested I might be pregnant. Two weeks into the spotting I took a hpt and it was negative. Has anyone ever spotted for 43 days and still counting...I feel hungry all the time, but I've been feeling nauseousand tremendous headaches. my boobs even hurt a little, but honestly those are all signs when I get stressed out It makes me sick so as much as I wish they were pregnancy symptoms considering the negative hpt 2 to 3 weeks ago I know this is stress...I have been getting cramps too where I think I am going to start bleeding heavier and I don't , the cramps just go away after a couple of hours.. Maybe it is a cyst... My husband and I are also in the middle of PSCing. I can't even go to the dr because that requires a referral and by the time we get the referral in the mail it will be too late we will be moved by then so it is pointless. My husband is worried that they did something during the surgery, but my period is always absent. It is irregular and I only get my period 4 or 5 times a year hence why we were seeking help with a fertility dr. About 6 months ago we gave up on having a child because we heard when you give up, it happens. Well I gave up and all I got was 43 days of spotting! Any suggestions? Is it possible that not having a period for so long maybe it all just built up and decided to come out at the same time, if that is possible...but then it would have been heavier...Maybe it is stress. Can stress make someone spot for 43 days straight? Sad I know everyone is going to say go to a doctor which I will when we move to our next duty station, but I just need some peace of mind if someone else has ever experienced this....
