I haven't had a regular period in awhile, I've been spotting every two weeks, and it's mostly dark brown and dark red, with a lot of discharge. The spotting lasts for about 3 days (a period usually last 4 or 5 for me, and I've never had brown blood like that before, or discharge during my period) other than the spotting, I haven't had a regular period. My breasts are sore every once in awhile, but not all the time. They do seem to be darker and a vein is showing up on the left side, they are very dark pink and when they are hard they are light brown. The bottom of my stomach does feel a little harder, but I'm not sure if that is normal or not. I've also been having a very hard time going number 2, and when I do go it's diarrhea. I've been having a difficult time with eating too, everytime i eat i get very bloated, and i can't eat that much before i feel sick. I've been having pressure down there too, usually when i have to go to the bathroom. I've taken pregnancy tests when I was 2 weeks late and it was negative, and that was about a month ago.

Hello,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. Your concern is regarding the status of your pregnancy. Such spotting can be due to implantation bleeding (due to implantation of the zygote after fertilization) or hormonal changes.

For confirming the status of pregnancy by urine for pregnancy test (UPT),the most accurate way to test for pregnancy is to wait until after your period is due. First appearance of pregnancy hormone, HCG, due to implantation occurs 6-12 days after ovulation. So if you don’t want to wait for your periods and test for pregnancy then you can test at 9 or 10 days past ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test.

I sincerely suggest you to do a urine for pregnancy test after 1 week of your missed periods date or get a serum HCG test done.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.

I am experiencing the exact same symptoms as you are. I even went to the doctor and she said that it was probably just stress and to give it another month to see if my period regulates. I havent gotten it yet this month and dont know what to do. I have 3 kids so I know what pregnancy symptoms are but all the tests come up negative. please update on here when you find something out and I will do the same. good luck!
