I am 38 years old and trying to concieve. For the past 2 months I have been spotting between periods. Last month it was off and on for two weeks before and this month it has started a week after I stopped my period. It is brownish in color and I am also having discharge. Is this normal or should I be booking an appointment with my doctor?

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Spotting between periods is not normal.Sometimes during ovulation light spotting might be present for few days but not prolonged.If the periods have been shorter in duration and less in flow then possibility of pregnancy can also be suspected.
I will advise you to get a Urine HPT done and then based on the result visit a Gynaecologist for evaluation.

brown discharge
I am 33 and my husband and I are trying to conceive but to no avail.. in the past wk I had a yeast infection which got better with over the counter monistat, but now i am noticing a brownish discharge and its freaking me out because my period is not due for another month... I also took a pregnancy test which came back negative( i was feeling nauseas and having dizzy spells at work this wk).. what could be wrong...
