So, my boyfriend and I have been trying to get pregnant. I've been off birth control since January, but have had no luck. I've had sex at least once a week since then. I thought it might be the effects of the birth control, so I've tried to be patient, and assumed I wasn't having sex at the proper time, but I have trouble figuring out when I'm ovulating.

These last three months since I've gotten off birth control, I've been spotting between periods. At first, I thought I was having a second period (which scared me), but then I waited and it turned out to be shorter and lighter than what I normally have. The same thing is happening now.

For example, I got my period on April 23th. Then on May 12th, I got the light bleeding thing for a few days. Didn't get my next period until May 28th (so that was a longer cycle). Yesterday, I experienced an increase in cervical mucous, and today the 7th, light bleeding. (I've always had irregular periods since getting off the pill.)

So, my question is, could the bleeding be a sign I'm ovulating? These last few months, I've been bleeding in between every time, for lighter, shorter amounts of time. I don't know if bleeding is a sign of ovulation.

Also, I had sex Friday (which was the 5th). Since, today is the 7th, and if this could mean in fact I am ovulating, could I finally get pregnant?? I reallllly hope so.

Please give me any information you have.
