Q: Spotting between periods on pill

I've been on the pill for a little over a year now (Yaz) with no problems. This week I started spotting on Tuesday and it continues today (Thurs), although my period is not due for over a week. I've NEVER spotted between periods before, so I'm worried... what's going on??
Last time I had sex with my bf was Saturday if that's relevant, and before that it was a good 2 months ago.

Rough sex can cause bleeding. And spotting is normal on birth control. Even if you've been taking it awhile, if it last for a prolonged time, talk to your doctor. Spotting on birth control can also be caused by a missed dosage. Try taking the pill at the same time everyday.

I just had the same thing happen to me. Exact same situation on the exact same pill (been taking it for a little over a year as well). My period's not due for a week either. I'm thinking it's normal because the pill controls your hormones and I recently started the pill on a monday instead of sunday. So maybe it messes up your cycle a little bit.
