ok so heres my story...

I had my Mirena in place for 2 yrs w no problems. no period the whole time and no cramping(which was great because w/o IUD my periods were BAD and cramping was crippling) I had my IUD removed july 1st because my husband and I want to get pregnant. I started spotting 2 days after removal...and spotted for a few days. it was very light and infrequent. The spotting stopped a few days(like 4-5 days) then started again. This time was like a light period....some cramping and heavier constant bleeding for 3-4 days. 1st question:was this my period?

2nd question:my OBGYN says i can try but I dont really know when to test for ovulation because im not sure if that was my period? how long does it take to typically get pregnant after mirena removal?

thanks

Im in the same boat..I had the mirena removed aug 6th and began bleeding right away the same day and it lasted for 7 days..Was that my period?? Not sure...However due to my wondering I looked up when I should be ovulating and it say between the 16th-20th of aug..My husband and I had intercourse on the 16th which was the day I "ovulated" and I did not get pregnant..Im so confused..I can't get a clear answer on when and how long it takes to return to normal after the Mirena..

Hi Ladies-- I am also trying to figure it all out. I had my mirena taken out this week and been having some spotting. I would really like to figure out when I will ovulate and am thinking I will just use continual ovulation tests until I get a positive read. NOW...What I can share with you is that with my first pregnancy after mirena it took 5 months to conceive while really trying. With my second pregnancy after mirena, it took 1 month to conceive without really trying. I know this isn't really that helpful, but at least it gives you a little more info. As I said, even with my previous experience I am still trying to figure out how to pinpoint ovulation.

Spotting 2 weeks before my period with Mirena!!!
I have had mirena for a year now, and I went on a honeymoon on oct 1st, my period came on the 5th and now it's been only 2 weeks and I spotted for one day brownish. never happened before, and want to know if I'm pregnant. I have had severe headaches every single day for a week now, and been crying for every stupid thing. Does anyone have an idea???
