Q: Spotted blood during masturbation
asked by: DoctorQuestion on November 4th, 2009
Hi Guys,
I masturbated and spotted blood, this was almost near the 10th - 11th day of my period and assumed it to be left over blood, which was out due to contractions of my uterus when I had an orgasm.. and after that I am due my periods now for almost 11 days... Prior to this I used get my periods on exactly 28 days... I am worried and confused.
Please suggest what has to be done. Do I see a doctor? Or wait for a few days to see if I get my periods?

Hello and welcome to eHealth Forum!

The delay in getting periods could be the side effect of the medicine you are taking to lose weight.

Vaginal bleeding after masturbation can be due to cervical polyps, yeast infections, endometriosis, cervical dysplasia which is a precancerous condition, uterine polyps, uterine fibroids and cervicitis (inflammation of cervix). If there is a history of unprotected sex then STDs such as Chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis should also be ruled out.

Please consult your doctor or gynecologist and get yourself examined as a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net. Hope this helps. Take care!
