Q: Spot on the abdomen and post surgical pain
asked by: DoctorQuestion on June 23rd, 2008
I had double inguinal lap surgery 4 months back. Everything is ok except for one spot on the rite hand side of my lower abdomen. It is still very very sore and tender especially when I place a finger on the spot and push in, I then experience a very strong burning and throbbing sensation. I know that titanium staples were used to secure the prolene mesh and I wondered if it could be the staples that are causing the problem.
Is there any solution to this problem without further surgery

Hernia Answer A4314
Current medical status: complications from double inguinal lap surgery

Current medical treatment: none at present except rest

You have to consult the surgeon who operated you about this spot on the abdomen and post surgical pain.
