He has Mild spastic CP. He is sreaming every so often of terrible leg pain. I am unsure why and plan on asking the doctor. He crys for 15-20 mins and then it's gone. I hate to see him in such horrific pain. Any idea's? He has also complained his brain is hurting every so often. (Maybe a headache) Not sure.

Extremely eHealthy
His legs muscles contract involuntary leading to painful muscle spasms.
Consult a neurologist for some medications.

I'm 15, male with CP, have incredibly bad knee pain. I use a cane to try and counteract it but also take pain medication

Hi,
My sister Angelica Salas was born with cp and now she's an adult 33 years old. She suffers from severe leg pain. The pain is only in one spot of her leg about 2 inches in the middle of her leg only. At times when she has no pain it feels very numb. I've taking her to Bellevue Hospital they don't know how to help her since the pain is just in one small spot of her leg. Can you give me an advice. Perhaps there's a Hospital that can help her with her leg pain.

Sofiass- have you asked her physical therapist about this? its possible the pain is caused by a spacific muscle in her leg which is wound to tightly. if that's the case there should be stretches that can help. It's interesting reading all these stories about cp related pain as my doctor has always told me this condition isnt a painful one by nature. Could it be all of these are secondary pains? I've experienced cronic knee pain which extends down my caf and doctors have yet to find a cause for it. As a child i was mocked and told they were only "growing pains."

In my experience stretching by physiotherapy helps keep the muscles as relaxed as they can be. Depending on the amount of therapy one receives, the relaxation is of shorter or longer duration. I received therapy weekly for about 25 years and wish I could still receive it, as it helped allot. Unfortunately at 6'2'' its kind of difficult to find any therapist able to manipulate my body as is required. But yes, I would say a routine of Physiotherapy would help tremendously, it did and has in my case.
