what would cause a large, very soft, and very spongy lump on the back of your head? it is approx 2 1/2 to 3 in in diameter, located on the back of the crown of her head, tender, sore, and accompanied by bad headaches. No head trauma involved. subject is 26 year old healthy female.

Head bump/headache
Hi I also am nearly 26 and have had this lump for about two years suffering from intense migraines. Please if you find out what is the cause let me know. It seemed to come on after flu but the lump and head pains have never gone from the right side of my head.
