My husband has many lesions in his lungs and has had Blastomycosis in his lungs,Now he has constant back pain, numbness in his legs and arms, dizziness, headaches, weakness, blurred vision just to name a few. He had a Myleogram done and he said that the fluid that was drawn looked brown and kind of slimy. I am just wondering what this could mean???

Unfortunately, microscopic evaluation of his spinal fluid (as well as fungal cultures of the fluid) will have to be performed to rule-out spread of Blastomycosis into the brain or/and spinal cord. In view of his neurological symptoms, a CT or MRI of the brain should also be performed.
