I have been having hip and back pain for 2yrs. Ironicaly after major weight-loss, I had Gastric Bypass 10/02/07. Lost 103 lbs. Thats when the hip, and back pains started. I was diagnosed with Osteo Arthritis and a bulging disk, on the lowerback, L4-L5 S1 I ended up having a Rhizotomy,07/22/09 due to the failed steroid injections. I was still having pain after that. I told the pain Doc. that the lower and upper back was still hurting. So he said get an upper MRI on the thoracic spine. It was read normal. I called united health nurse and said" I dont understand the pain still is bad" she referred me to a spine Doc. who read the MRI and said try a Chiropractor. I was like Ok" mouth wide open.
The Chiro. thad taken a few X-rays's and said come in the office. There was films on the wall, which I thought were a picture of a poor person's messed up back,
I thought glad thats not me ! Guess what! It was my back! I was shocked!
She said she was suprised no one else noticed it, I am still in pain and on my 2nd week of chiro care. The pain is so bad ! My crooked back hurts. She said that could effect my hip and back pain.
I also was told I had DDD as well.
I'm using a TENS unit, and pain meds, with stretching and exercise to help, Wonder what happens next ?
