I have been monitoring my PSA and Free to Total PSA readings for over 12 years now as I am on "Active Surviellance", I was diagnosed with PCa November 1996. For the past (nearly) 3 years my PSA has been below 4.0 and my Free to Total PSA Ratio has been above 25% (I am 68 years old) I increased my daily intake of D3 from 1,000 IU to 2,500 IU and my PSA went from 3.2 to 4.1 and my F/T ratio went from 34% to 24%. I then increased my D3 to 4,500IU/day and PSA went to 5.3 but F/T ratio went back up to 26%. Is this spike in my readings unusual? and should I continue to maintain my D3 intake at 4,500 IU/day? Thankyou in anticipation of your advice.
