I've had this for about a week now. I go hiking since I live in a wooded area and I usually take my dog. About a week ago, I noticed a red spot on my hand that itched pretty bad. I ignored it since I've been bitten or stung by pretty much everything (comes with living where I am).
A couple of days later, it became a scab and sort of swollen. This was different and I had a feeling I should get it checked out. It was drained and I went home forgetting about it again.
Yesterday, I had dance class and our choreographer stopped and asked to see my hand. I didn't even notice it had opened up and was bleeding. I went to the bathroom and tried to clean it and when I patted the blood away I noticed it was a tiny hole almost. Today it has scabbed over and is a tiny bit swollen.
I was wondering if anyone had ever been bitten or has an idea of what it may be. It doesn't itch or hurt at the moment at all. Just a tiny bit red and a tiny bit swollen.

I'd like to update this a bit. the bite got a tiny bit larger. It's red around it and sometimes stings.

Use hot water on it...Put your hand under the faucet or heat some water in a pan and keep it clean...Hot water is the best healing agent for an infection...If it continues have it checked out...I think hot water will do it and if you are doing anything dirty cover it....

Good luck and take care,
Caroline
