Q: sperm - induced bacterial infections

Is it safe for my boyfriend to ejaculate in me when we have sex? can ejaculation harm a woman in anyways?

Sperm can cause pregnancy which might be unwanted at the time and you should be aware of this, because of the consequences you will have to deal with.


If your boyfriend’s sperm contains bacteria, then you might get infected, too. Urethral infection might be transmitted even though the sperm is sterile because the sperm is expelled through the urethra. A simple sperm culture and urethral swab would be enough to determine if there are bacteria present.
Other than this the sperm itself cannot harm a woman.


If you are still afraid from the sperm, simply washing it away after intercourse would get rid of most of the semen and the fluid contained in the sperm.
