About five months ago I started to get sudden bursts of a sharp stinging pain on the left side of my throat. The pain felt like a needle being scraped down my throat. It makes me sneeze and cough and lasts for about a minute or two. Some times it feels like my nose and roof of my mouth are kind of numb .Then it goes away only to come back an hour or so later.I dont think it happens when im asleep much as it rarely wakes me up.I have had course of antibiotics. They didnt work, and a barium meal swallow which didnt show anything as wrong.Any help greatly appreiciated.

You might want to get checked for allergies. The throat pain along with sneezing and coughing sounds like it could be allergies.
