Hi there

This has happened to me about 6 times over the last 12 months. First it is as though I can see a round blurry shape ... then gradually this blurring fills the whole of my vision ... its like when they do that wiggly when looking straight ahead ... as though I'm looking through a tunnel.

When it happens, it's the same through both eyes and it lasts anything up to around 15 minutes.

There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it either Confused

Thanks everyone ~x~

Do you have any history of eye problems or does glaucoma or eye problems run in your family? When you are having these episodes, are you experiencing any headaches?

I think what you have is actually called tunnel vision, but I am unsure why your episodes are so random, unless it's not actually YOU. It can also be caused by fumes, drinking, or drugs.

If you have a medical condition, then you really need to get to a doctor to find the cause of these episodes because it could turn out to be something serious.

Hi there and thanks for your reply Smile

There is no history of anything as far as I'm aware, although having said that I don't know my Father or his family medical history Rolling Eyes

There are no other symptoms when it happens and it goes as quickly as it comes ... it doesn't even make me feel dizzy.

I do smoke and drink and although I don't take none prescription drugs, I am on AD's and my life is pretty stressful at the moment ... Credit Crunch seriously affecting our business and could lose the house etc ...

... maybe I should go and see the Doctor next week as you suggest but would be interested to know if anyone else has suffered similar ... ~x~

low blood pressure
My husband normally suffers from high blood pressure and takes various medications for high blood pressure, osteoperosis, a higher than normal prostate reading. He suffered a heart attack some 25 years ago. Every now and again (about 2 or 3 times a week he feels giddy. When I have taken his blood pressure it reads roughly 80 over 55. All other times his readings are about 130/140 over 80. Can you tell me the cause of this low blood pressure? Many thanks.
