hi
I was just wondering if you could tell me if you can I woke yesterday morning with a soreness on the right side of my face from forehead to cheek it was so sore to the touch like I had fallen over and hit it but nothing like this has happened, it was fine before I went to bed I had been getting headaches but have been under a lot of stress lately, I have also been going swimming in the evenings without wearing goggles was thinking was this anything to do with it as it is in a pool, just a little worried and also I went to my pharmacist yesterday and he gave me some brufen tablets and this morning a little better but I don't like taking a lot of medication, could you please help if you can as I am afraid as the day goes on that it will get worse

Thank you

That area has sinuses that can get filled up and hurt, usually with other respiratory or allergic symptoms as clues. Snorting some pool water while swimming can set it off. Not life-threatening but can be very annoying and responds to several kinds of treatments beyond the general anti-inflammatory effect of ibuprofen. There are nerves that run through the area and you might have squashed one in your sleep - usually goes away without treatment.
