Q: Sore Vaginal opening

I have been suffering an itch just around the vagina opening, I am on the pill so I know thrush can be a cause and Ive had it before, but i aslo get a swelling just behind the opening which become irritated after sex. If I have sex three times within 2 days or so, it becomes very sore, inflamed and uncomfortable just after the opening and it only hurts on my right hand side! It is fine after a few thrusts but I usually get put off sex because of it.

I have been given a diprobase cream which helps soothe it and it does go away then its not sore thn next time I have sex (which is a regular partner) but then after a few times it flares up again.

I have been tested for common STI's and they have come back negative!

Any help as to what this could be?

hello is your partner also being treated for when you have thrush as its a cycle past from one to the other if he hasn,t.
I never knew this first time i took thrush many years ago and i only treated myself with over the counter products.
It was my doctor picked up on it as it kept recurring and once my partner was treated also it was fine and stopped. hope this helps you
