I went to see an ent about a swollen tonsil I had. He said my left side was a 1 and my right side was a 1.5 and didn't seem to worried about it. He felt it and said it was soft, and that that was a good thing. He said if it was cancer it would be very hard and solid. No swollen nodes, thyroid is fine, but it just feels like my tonsil is still pretty sore. Not discolored, no white spots, wondering if it will just go away? I do need a ct scan for what he says is paranasal sinuses. Could this be the problem? I also experience a lot of drainage, almost like post nasal drip, could that be related also? I guess I just should have asked better questions. He just didn't say much other than he had no reason to believe it was cancerous even though I had chewed tobacco for a number of years. Any thoughts?
