My nipples are sore all the time and I don't know why. I'm 50 years old and I have a period once every 3 months. I'm not pregnant, looking for answers.

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Your symptoms could be due to perimenopausal changes.Since you are reaching menopause it might be possible that fluctuations might be going in the body which are causing sore nipples.
If there is development of pain,discharge or any other symptom consider visiting a Gynaecologist for evaluation.
