Swollen salivary glands are the first sign that you might have the mumps. But what other symptoms can you identify? And when should you seek medical help?...
A little history. When I was 19 and 210lbs, (I'm now 33 and 280lbs and 6'2) I was in a serious car accident where I shattered my right pelvis. They did no surgery and just let it heal. They said within 5 years I would start suffering from arthritis and that since I was still very active that it would be foolish to go through a hip replacement now. Over the years I have had pain in my right hip and pain in my lower back.

Now at 33, for the first time, the pain in my hip and lower back has been persistant for over 3 weeks. I also have pain in my testicles like a shocking throbbing pain. It diminishes for a few min to an hour then comes back again. I also busted my ankle back in March and still have pain from that. I also have arthritic pain in my right hand knuckles, so I went to the docs a few weeks ago and he did a bunch of blood tests. He has since called me and I have a scheduled appt with him next week to discuss the results of the tests.

#1 Could the testicle pain be caused by my hip or back pain?
#2 Could I have arthritis in my hand even though I never remember hurting it?
#3 Is my ankle ever going to heal? LOL
#4 Are any of these symptoms pointing towards some sort of cancer?

Any info would be appreciated.
