Q: Sore left bottom ribs

Hi.I am 31 years old with no illnesses. I seem to have a sharp pain in my ribs located at the lower left side. It happened about 2 weeks ago when I was twisting my body to dump something heavy in a drum at work. I tried it again, ignoring the pain and felt a tight pain that made me kneel down for a second. So right now I am taking epsom salt baths, stretching, and Goody powders. However, I have'nt took any powders for a while now. It still hurts as I breath in, when I stretch, and also when get up after lying down. Most times, it hurts to even laugh. It feels like a tight ball of pressure that just hurts on one spot: the bottom left sore rib.

I am still going to work, as I do not want to miss work. Well, because I cannot afford to miss a day of work. What can I do about this annoying pain to continue working? I am a single male doing everything myself. I must say I am a bit concerned if this is serious because again, I just can't afford to miss work now. Sounds redundant, but it also magnifies my point and concern.
Thank you for reading and God Bless.

A.... One thing- this is the mental health form, meaning for people who purposely harm themselves...

B.... You may have actually pulled a muscle. Back when I used to participate in different fighting events, I had a suspicion that a particularly rough fight had fractured a rib. Went to the doctor and he couldn't locate a breakage, however said it was most likely a result of the stress from dodging punches.

The pain you explain sounds similar to what I experienced however.

I would kneed the area out, using my thumbs to loosen the pressure area. Which, while it hurt really bad to do such, made it bearable to continue doing as normal.
